Songs from Albums Turning Sixty in 2027
_________
AT this point of the year…
I do a series of features that celebrates albums that have big anniversaries next year. Many terrific albums turns sixty next year. The music of 1967 is right up there with the best of all time. I have compiled songs from the most important albums from 1967. In future features, I will look at albums that turn fifty-five, fifty, forty-five, forty, thirty-five, thirty, twenty-five, twenty, fifteen, ten and five in 2027. Perhaps the most iconic and greatest album of 1967 was The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. I do wonder how that will be marked. There will not be a remastered and reissued album, as that has already been done. Though it is worth marking a significant anniversary. Sitting alongside this masterpiece are plenty of other albums from 1967 that were either a critical or commercial success. You will recognise many, though there might be a few that are less familiar. Enjoy this mixtape that blends songs from…
THE best albums of 1967.
